When it comes to ergonomics there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all. We are all unique in size and shape. Think of ergonomics as the tailor who fits the clothing to our bodies. Unlike a poorly fitted suit, an ill-fitted workstation can lead to variety of repetitive motion injuries that can damage your muscles, nerves, tendons, ligaments, joints, cartilage, and spinal discs.
In observance of National Ergonomics Month, State Fund has released a new series of office ergonomic videos to show you the proper way to adjust your workstation. Each video will show you how to adjust each of these components of your workstation:
The best approach is to first adjust your chair, then your mouse and keyboard, your monitor placement, and finally your office lighting.
Stay tuned for our last video of the series on office lighting.
